Cedar racks up three wins with British Airways at the Pearl Awards in New York
11 NOVEMBER 2015
Cedar has walked away from the 2015 Pearl Awards in New York with three awards, winning silver for Best Use of Social Media for its #FlyBA2015 campaign and Cedar South Africa winning bronze in Best Cover and silver in Best Long-form Writing, both for High Life South Africa.
The #FlyBA2015 campaign, launched by Cedar London, was a social campaign that invited fans to share their travel recommendations for 2015 on Instagram with British Airways and was designed to inspire customers to plan their travels using tips from fellow travellers.
The Pearl Awards celebrate excellence in content marketing across print, digital and multi-channel platforms and are judged by the Content Council, the leading professional organisation for content marketing in North America.
Commenting on the wins, Cedar’s CEO Clare Broadbent said, ‘We’re thrilled to be sharing these wins with British Airways. Celebrating 42 years of working with them this month, this really is testament to the teams continuing to create exceptional content, even 500 issues later.’
Explaining the agency’s approach to content marketing, Cedar South Africa’s General Manager Helena Gavera said, ‘It’s such an honour to be recognised alongside the best in the business at an international level. Representing a premier standard in content marketing, these awards mean so much to the team who are dedicated to producing outstanding work. A proud day for Cedar South Africa!’
Launched in 2012, High Life South Africa – like its mother title, which this month celebrates its 500th issue – brings together exceptional journalists, contributors and photographers, but with a distinctly African flavour.
