Advertising Director
Reporting to: Head of Commercial
Place of work: Hybrid working (Central London, SE1)
Role summary:
Maximise personal sales across the Cedar sales portfolio, currently defined as follows:
· BA: High Life magazine. In-lounge ambient media, sponsorship and passenger promotions & benefits. On board IFE and connectivity. High Life digital. 1PD offsite retargeting. Data monetisation
· Eurostar: Metropolitan magazine, St Pancras International ambient media. On board Personal Information Screens and OBE.
Your sales remit will comprise current BA Media advertisers, Eurostar Media advertisers, digital agencies and PR agencies (and any other sources of revenue you deem relevant). You will be expected to generate new business from clients direct and other advertising agencies, UK and international.
You will be one of the senior members of Cedar’s sales team, motivating and inspiring your fellow team members to deliver revenue to target and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Personal sales
· Maximise personal sales revenue from clients direct, digital agencies and mainstream advertising agencies, UK and international.
· Sell multi-media, cross portfolio deals.
· Deliver partnerships, experiences and benefits throughout the customer journey and across the global lounge network for Eurostar and BA.
· Create and deliver compelling sales proposals and sales presentations.
· Attend trade conferences relevant to our media (UK and international).
· Target brands and pitch advertising opportunities in line with the new portfolio and in keeping with new advertising guidelines as defined by our clients BA and Eurostar.
· Target and deliver sales in line with the business needs and objectives at the time. Eg, if a focus on IFE sales or Metropolitan pages is required at a specific time in order to hit budget, you should focus your efforts accordingly.
General
· Assist Cedar by passing on or following up leads for new Cedar business.
· Assist Cedar finance staff with invoice queries and late payers.
· Create and share case studies of successful campaigns you have delivered.
· Record an accurate account of your interaction with clients and subsequent bookings on the shared PSC system.
· Continually demonstrate you are a team player, working harmoniously with your colleagues, striving at all times to deliver maximum revenue towards annual budget.
Required experience and ideal candidate:
· Minimum seven years’ sales success.
· Possess digital sales experience relevant to the monetisation of BA’s 1PD
· Proven track record of sales success particularly digital, non-print and multimedia sales.
· Demonstration of portfolio development and the implementation of new opportunities which have increased revenue, customer and client satisfaction.
· Excellent presentation and proposal writing skills.
· Proven excellent advertiser relationships: client direct, digital specialists, agency, UK and international.
· Excellent team player who has proven to lead by example and motivate staff.
· Creativity and the ability to deliver solutions outside the brief
· Possess a good understanding of all the advertising markets within which Cedar operates: digital, ambient, on-board entertainment and print.
